Light to Dark
The whole C2 Paint gray range by depth. LRV is the number to trust — the same gray looks two steps darker on a wall than on a chip.
LRV (Light Reflectance Value) is a 0 to 100 scale of how light or dark a color reads, and gray shifts more with the light than any other family, so the number matters here most of all. Higher reflects more light and feels airy; lower absorbs it and feels cozy or dramatic.
For a bright, open wall, look high with Mikonos (C2-721) or Overcast (C2-738). For a soft mid-gray with presence, sit with Apprentice (C2-754), Well Water (BD18), or Dusk (BD11). When you want depth, drop to Bahamas (C2-748) or Portland (C2-953), and reach for Wildwood (C2-854), Magnet (C2-967), or Andromeda (C2-901) when you want near-charcoal walls, a moody accent, or a strong front door. Test a brushed sample on the actual wall and check it morning and night, because the undertone is the whole reason to choose C2 gray and you want to see it shift.

What C2 Grays Are Really Like
Gray is the family where cheap paint goes wrong fastest, turning flat or purple under the wrong bulb. C2's full-spectrum approach is built for exactly this, so its grays carry a readable undertone, cool, green, or blue, and hold it as the light moves across the day.
The lane is wide and full of character. Mikonos (C2-721) is a light, airy gray with a soft blue-green cast, while Overcast (C2-738) and Apprentice (C2-754) sit in the bright-to-mid range. From there the undertones diverge: Well Water (BD18) leans blue, Dusk (BD11) and Russian Olive (C2-941) drift cooler and greener, and Spanish Moss (C2-940) reads as a muted greige-gray. The deep end, Magnet (C2-967) and Andromeda (C2-901), gives you near-charcoal grays with enough complexity to read rich rather than dead.
The Questions Everyone Asks
Do C2 grays have undertones?
Yes, and that is the point of the brand. Mikonos (C2-721) carries a soft blue-green cast, Well Water (BD18) leans blue, and Spanish Moss (C2-940) reads greige. C2's full-spectrum tinting keeps those undertones alive instead of letting the gray go flat.
Which C2 gray works for a dark, dramatic wall?
Look at the deep end of the family. Magnet (C2-967) and Andromeda (C2-901) are near-charcoal grays with enough complexity to read rich rather than dead, which makes them strong picks for an accent wall, cabinetry, or a front door.
Why does my gray look different at night?
Gray shifts more than any other family as the light changes, which is exactly why C2 builds undertone complexity into it. Always brush a real sample on the wall and check it in morning daylight and under your evening bulbs before committing.
