The Fast Verdict
Wing It is a warm white at LRV 88, not a mid-greige. Clare lists it as a pale pink; on a sunlit wall most people read a finished, slightly peachy white. The pink stays a whisper until you park it next to a cooler white — then it is not a whisper anymore.

What Color Is Wing It, Really?
Warm white built on a pink-peach base instead of yellow oxide. That is the whole trick. Cream whites (Swiss Coffee, Creamy) flash butter-yellow the moment afternoon sun hits them. Wing It does not. The trade is obvious: where those colors go yellow, this one goes pink. In a sunny kitchen, though, it just looks like a soft, finished white — which is why Clare's own rooms treat it as an unexpected neutral rather than a statement blush.
At LRV 88 it reflects most of the light that hits it and sits firmly in white territory. White Dove (LRV 85) and Alabaster (LRV 82) are a hair deeper and greyer. Pale Oak (LRV 69) is an actual greige; if that is the color you thought you were sampling, you are in the wrong family. Wing It holds just enough peach body to soften shadows without reading beige — until the light or the trim forces the pink forward.
Undertone in one line: warm, dusty pink — never green, never grey. A century-home owner who ran it whole-house said it did not feel pink until someone named it; the husband never registered pink at all. If your sample goes beige, that is dim north light. If it goes strawberry, that is a cooler white on the trim, or bounce from brick, a pink rug, or west sun on a bare wall.
Where It Shines
Give it real daylight, oak or walnut, and brass, and it behaves like a kitchen white that is not boring. The one-color room — walls and trim in Wing It, sheen change only — is the version that works, because nothing cooler is standing next to it to name the pink. Kitchens are its best room: at LRV 88 it stays bright on cabinets, and the peach base flatters butcher block and unlacquered brass without tipping yellow.
Where It Fails
Almost every bad Wing It story is a pairing or a lighting miss, not a coverage miss. If you thought you were buying a greige, or you left a brighter builder-white on the trim, the wall will not do what you pictured.
The most common shock: Wing It walls, Snow Day or Fresh Kicks (or any zero-undertone white) on trim. The cooler white wins, and Wing It looks like blush. Same-color trim in satin or semi-gloss is the fix — the sheen change is enough contrast.
North light is cool and grey. It strips the white and leaves a dusty beige-pink that readers call dingy. The color did not fail; the light did. Clare's Whipped is the white built for north rooms. Or commit to 2700K lamps and test a big sample first.
Carrara-type stone sits at the opposite temperature and pushes Wing It toward peach. Grey porcelain floors do the same. With cool stone, pick a cleaner white (Chantilly Lace). With wood vanities, warm quartz, and brass, Wing It is at home.
Room by Room
South or east light, wood counters, brass: this is the room Clare keeps photographing, and it is honest. Eggshell on walls, satin on cabinets. Keep the trim in Wing It; a cooler cabinet white will pink the walls.
With any real daylight it reads as a calm warm white, peach almost invisible next to oak floors and a cream sofa. Same color on trim in satin. If the room faces north and stays dim, sample first or step to Whipped.
Under 2700K bulbs it turns gently peachy-cozy at night, which most people want in a bedroom. In a bright south bedroom it stays a quiet white. North bedrooms are the risk — dusty, not restful.
Warm tile, wood vanity, brass: yes. Cool grey marble or blue-grey porcelain: it argues and the pink comes forward. Do not use it as a 'neutral' next to Carrara.
Satin hides fingerprints better than a brighter white, and the pink-peach base loves walnut and unlacquered brass. Pair with Wing It walls, not a cooler wall white, or the cabinets will look painted pink.
Hallways that borrow daylight from other rooms usually pass. A closed north hall or a basement stair will go beige-pink. This is not the whole-house default if half your rooms face north.
Your Light Is the Risk
The pink drops out and you get a soft warm white all day. This is the light the kitchen photos were taken in.
Cool grey daylight strips the white and leaves dusty beige-pink. Test a big board, or pick Whipped.
Quiet white in morning east light; west sun can flash peach for an hour. Most people like the shift. If that hour looks pink to you, this is not your white.
2700K lamps: creamier, slightly peachier, cozy. Cool LEDs: grey-beige — swap the bulbs, not the paint.
Most complaints about Wing It are a light mismatch. Upload a photo of your actual room and see it on your walls — then ask for the same wall in north light or evening lamps before you buy a single sample.

Pink, White, or Greige?
Clare sells Wing It as a pale pink. The deck files it as a white at LRV 88, hex #F8F0E9. Both can be true at once: it is a white whose coloring agent is pink, not yellow and not grey. That is why it will not scratch the greige itch — there is not enough depth or grey in it — and why it also will not pass as a true white next to Snow Day or Fresh Kicks.
Use it when you want the room to feel warm without cream. Skip it when you want Agreeable Gray's greige job or Chantilly Lace's clean white. There is no Color of the Year story here; it is a DTC all-room pale that lives or dies on the light in your house.
Wood, Metal, and Floors
Oak, walnut, cherry, terracotta tile, unlacquered brass, bronze: all of it loves the peach base. Honey oak, which fights cool greys, is not a problem here. Black hardware is fine if the room has daylight; it will not warm the wall up, but it will not pink it either.
The floor is the hidden undertone test. Orange oak makes Wing It look creamier. Grey-washed oak or cool porcelain pulls peach. If the floor is already grey, sample a full board at the baseboard before you commit — that junction is where the pink shows first.

Is Wing It a greige or a white?
A white. LRV 88 is white territory. Greiges that get used as whole-house colors sit much deeper — Pale Oak is LRV 69, Revere Pewter is LRV 56. Wing It has a pink-peach whisper, not a grey-beige body. If you sampled it expecting a mid-greige, you will be surprised by how light and pink it is.
Will Wing It look pink on my walls?
In south daylight, usually no — it reads as a warm white, and more than one owner has said the pink was invisible until someone pointed it out. It looks pink next to a cooler or brighter white, in strong west sun, or with pink bounce from brick or textiles. Sample on more than one wall.
Can I use Wing It in a north-facing room?
Only if you add warm lamps and like a dusty beige-pink. North light strips the white. Clare's Whipped (LRV 95) is the white in this lineup built for north rooms. Do not count on Wing It to glow in a dim north bedroom.
What trim white should I pair with Wing It?
Wing It. A sheen change (eggshell walls, satin or semi-gloss trim) is enough. Snow Day, Fresh Kicks, and other zero-undertone or cool whites will make the walls look blush. Do not leave builder white on the trim.
Is Wing It a good cabinet color?
Yes, in satin, in a kitchen that already has warm wood and brass. It hides scuffs better than a brighter white and will not yellow. Keep the walls in Wing It or another warm color; a cool wall will turn the doors peach.
